2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the 997, arguably the most enthusiastically received of all the 911 editions. Grant Larson reprised the curves and swoops of Tony Hatter’s much-admired 993 to good effect. Only Australian motoring writer Peter Robinson would demur that the new 997 looked too much like what had gone before and needed a bolder body design.
