Aviation Archive Magazine  |  Issue 76
US Navy Jets, No 76 in the Aviation Archive series, focuses on those post- World War Two jet-powered Navy combat aircraft that were, or were intended to be, carrier-based.
A handful of entries fall outside of that definition - two flying boat designs and two purely experimental types sponsored by the Navy. The AV-8 Harrier family and F-35B Lightning II have also been omitted as they are strictly US Marine Corps aircraft, although other ‘Flying Leathernecks’ aircraft are included if also fielded by the US Navy.
