New routes for Norse

(Photo Norse Atlantic Airways)

NORSE ATLANTIC will add two new destinations from its London/ Gatwick base, bringing the total to six. From September 12, the airline will commence a thrice-weekly service to Las Vegas/Harry Reid International. Then, in a further diversification of its network after adding the Caribbean and Thailand in winter 2023/24, Norse is to add Cape Town from October 28. Here, the airline will compete against British Airways, which serves the South African city from both Gatwick and London/Heathrow, and Virgin Atlantic, which flies from Heathrow.

Gatwick aviation development VP Stephanie Wear said: “We are delighted to see Norse Atlantic’s continued growth at London Gatwick, providing more flights and choice for passengers across London and the southeast.” Norse founder and CEO Bjorn Tore Larsen said: “We are thrilled to introduce our new route between London and Cape Town. By breaking the duopoly on this route, we are not only expanding travel options for consumers but also driving down costs and putting the customer back in the pilot’s seat.”
