Liebherr-Aerospace announced on February 10 that it is expanding its presence in the Middle East with the launch of a new service centre at the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, Dubai South, close to Dubai/Al Maktoum. The 25,833sq ft facility is scheduled to open in early 2026 and will cater to the regional demand for aftermarket repair services for Liebherr products. It will be a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 145 certified service centre with a focus on component repair of air management systems.
Alex Vlielander, Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation’s chief customer officer, said: “The expansion of our MRO capacities is one of the key elements for continuous extension of our customer support and services portfolio in the Middle East region. It enables us to service more components in-house and in-region, thus eliminating logistic routings and reducing turnaround times.”
