An undergraduate student group taking part in a Glasgow University engineering project is appealing to Lamlash residents to engage with a survey looking at tackling domestic heating poverty.
The group is investigating if a biomass district heating scheme would be financially beneficial to households in Lamlash, while also being environmentally sustainable. The online survey, which can be found at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MJB2KGD, is aimed at Lamlash residents at the moment. However, if successful, the team would look at the viability of scaling possibilities across the island.
There are 10 questions to answer in the short survey, mainly dealing with the size of your home, heating types, and the insulation and roof type, and all answers are completely confidential.
