ED WARNER will step down as chairman of UK Athletics at the end of 2017.
Warner took up the role at the national governing body at the beginning of 2007 after former 5000m world record-holder David Moorcroft left his position as chief executive in January that year.
UK Athletics is aiming to appoint Warner’s successor by the end of the year and invite them on to the board of directors in time for the start of the London 2017 ParaAthletics and IAAF World Championships before taking up the position from the current incumbent in January 2018.
