HAVING won Welsh age-group titles and been ranked in the top 10 in her age group in the UK every year since 2014, javelin thrower Bethany Moule is delighted to have recently broken the UK under-15 javelin best with 48.84m at the SIAB Schools International.

She had already been top of the 2016 rankings with a 45.76m PB in a UK Youth Development League match at Gloucester in April. This throw was a league record and surpassed her previous best by more than three metres. The 14-year-old, who has since won the Welsh under-17 title, West Wales title and the UK Javelin Carnival and remains undefeated in her main event this year, said: “I am very pleased with the season so far and I am excited to see what I can achieve this year. It is amazing to finally be No.1 in the UK.”
