A year’s jail for pub fight glassing

A CAMPBELTOWN man was jailed for 12 months for glassing a man and causing permanent disfigurement in a pub brawl.

At a Campbeltown Sheriff Court trial in April, Peter Angus McKinlay Anderson, 49, of 3 Castlehill Court, Campbeltown, was found guilty under provocation for an assault, on May 16 last year, at a town bar.

Anderson had pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by reason of a special defence of self-defence.
