NEARLY a century after the ‘war to end all wars’ finished in 1918 Campbeltown turned out in force to honour the fallen.
The weekend’s commemorations were divided into two parts. On Saturday there was a small intimate service at the Commonwealth war graves, in Kilkerran cemetery, followed on Sunday by a huge outdoor service at the war memorial on the Esplanade. Reverend Philip Wallace oficiated at both ceremonies.
