Pupils in ‘tied’ player row
KINTYRE Amateur Football League Committee will tonight sit in judgement over one of the biggest rows to hit local league football for several seasons.
The row blew up after the second game in a two-leg semi-final tie between Campbeltown Pupils A.F.C and R.A.F. Machrihanish, to decide who would go through to meet Lochend in the final of the McMaster Campbell Cup. Now the final - which was to have been played on August 13 -has been postponed until the committee’s decision becomes known after tonight’s meeting.
