Canadian Yachting  |  May 2019
The weather is clearly improving and yacht clubs and marinas across Canada are getting ready for Spring Launch…but while you are waiting for that first boating day, here comes the May 2019 issue of Canadian Yachting magazine!
Our special feature story is about a destination event that’s convenient to most of our Ontario readers; the Mariposa Folk Festival, held in Orillia. You can reach the town marina with even a smaller cottage runabout. You could travel there via the Trent Severn Waterway and you could anchor out for free if you couldn’t find a spot at any of the local marinas of town facilities. What a cool boating trip it would be to take in the Mariposa Folk Festival!
Read about the Marine Museum of British Columbia and their future plans. Author Marianne Scott is a marine writer and a Museum volunteer. For a change of pace but staying in B.C., imagine what it would have been like to have joined Catherine Dook in her adventure with The Seagull Race – tales from the back of the fleet.
Craig Ritchie reviews two very different but outstanding new boats, the Cutwater 302 Coupe and the Grand Banks 60 Skylounge. You will quickly see why he says it’s his all-time favourite yacht.
All this and more is coming soon in the May 2019 issue of Canadian Yachting magazine!
