What is it?
Grok is Elon Musk’s AI chatbot, built to answer questions in a conversational style. It started life in late 2023 as part of X (formerly Twitter) and a website (https://grok.com),and has since evolved into an app (Android www.snipca. com/53890; iOS www.snipca.com/53891).
So it’s Musk’s answer to ChatGPT?
Yes, though its tone is different. Musk wanted to build a “maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe” that could take on ChatGPT, which he thought was being “trained to be politically correct”. Ask Grok to describe its style and it says it “blends the wit and absurdity you’d find in a Douglas Adams novel, mixed with the innovative and forward-thinking spirit of Tony Stark”.
