Show text boundaries for cleaner layouts
If you’ve ever wondered why a heading looks off-centre or why text isn’t quite lining up with the edge of a column, Word’s ‘Show text boundaries’ option can help. It adds faint dotted lines around the areas where text can appear ( 1 in our screenshot), including the main body, headers, footers and columns.
It’s especially useful when you’re working on forms, newsletters or anything with multiple sections. Instead of guessing where the margins are, or fiddling with spacing, you get a clear view of where text should sit.
