WINDOWS 11
Turn on ‘Quick machine recovery’ to fix boot problems
Microsoft has added a new ‘Quick machine recovery’ option to Windows 11. If your PC fails to boot and enters recovery mode, it can now automatically connect to Microsoft’s servers to check for fixes – such as updated drivers or system updates – and apply them without you needing to do anything. It’s turned on by default for Windows 11 Home users, but Pro users have to activate it by opening Settings then clicking System, Recovery, followed by ‘Quick machine recovery’ (see screenshot). Make sure your PC can connect to the internet during recovery, or it won’t be able to fetch fixes.
