With the rodding season on the cusp of getting into full
flow, our thoughts inevitably stray to what’s in store for
us all this coming season.
Typically, Wheels Day, as the season opener, has often been
taken as a barometer for this. If that’s true, all we can suggest is you
set off nice and early to any event you may be planning to attend,
and perhaps pack some sandwiches for the journey!
Seriously, if you weren’t there you will almost certainly have
heard tales of woe from that not-so-good Friday. It wasn’t all bad
news though, as attendance figures were out of this world. You can
read our take on this year’s Wheels Day on page 34.
Before you turn that many pages though, make sure you read
what we’ve received in the mail bags this month – especially if
you’ve imported a vehicle and haven’t yet registered it, or are
planning such a purchase in the future. There’s a chance that many
of you will never have heard of NOVA, apart from the Chevrolet
variety that is, but it is something you most definitely should be
conversant with. Thankfully, it’s now been brought to our attention,
so make sure it grabs yours, too.
