DNA Magazine  |  #142 - The Music issue

We kick off the man candy this month with a gorgeous shoot of country music star Josey Greenwell by Richard Gerst. The boys hit the beach with Josey's good mate, Rodiney Santiago in tow. We also had a chat to him and found out what he's been up to since he last appeared in DNA.

That's not all the man candy we have for you. Jorge Rivas perfectly captured a hot model in Cirque D'Homme and wait until you see the bod of violinist Christopher Marchant! Aussie model Daniel Garofali is making a name for himself in the Big Apple. Read the first of his regular adventures he'll be writing about for us.

Music is on our mind this month. Everybody loves a countdown and in this issue we take a look at the 50 best albums ever by GLBT artists. Senior Writer Nick Cook had a drink (or three!) with Aussie music legend Molly Meldrum. Molly was responsible for making Madonna, Blondie and Abba huge in Australia (and abroad!) but that is just one of his many achievements. Don't miss his interview. We also interview Freddie Mercury's right hand man and find out more about the icon. Mark Poston is the openly G EMI Music Chairman and we speak to him in this issue.

Some other music stories include chats with Suede frontman Brett Anderson, Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan, Radio Ink, the Brighton Men's Chorus, Aussie sensation Gotye and British boy band The Wanted.

On a more serious note, in our domestic violence report we look at the untold stories of G couples in abusive relationships. Also, A Sporting Chance asks, Is it harder for G athletes to attract sponsorship?

Every month, you'll find great feature stories, celebrity profiles, pop culture reviews and sensational photography of some of the world's sexiest male models in our fashion stories.

DNA was launched in Australia in 2000 and is now available worldwide in bookstores throughout Canada, US, UK and Europe as well as in Digital and Online Editions format.

I love this magazine. Among the periodicals I receive regularly are Out, Advocate and DNA magazines; and while they each address a different interest, it is DNA that I really anticipate each month. The photos are outstanding, the stories entertaining, and the all around production quality is exceptional. It may not have the hard thinking, deep journalistic values of The Advocate, but for complete utter enjoyment DNA is the tops!
