Interview by EMILY COOK
Bradley Walsh as the Doctor’s new friend, Graham O’Brien
B radley Walsh and the Doctor go way back. “I grew up loving Doctor Who,” he says. “I was allowed to watch it as a kid – when it first started in 1963 it was a big deal to watch Doctor Who of a weekend. My early recollections are the black-and-white days – the glory days – of William Hartnell and Pat Troughton. The Daleks and the Cybermen – I was petrified of them. In those days I thought the Daleks were the greatest invention of all time. I was such a fan that in the 1960s my mum and dad bought me a silver battery-operated Dalek that lit up for Christmas. If I’d have kept it now, and still in the box all these years later, goodness knows how much it would be worth!”
