Originally started by Greta Thunberg in 2018 when she sat outside the Swedish Parliament on school days holding a sign reading “school strike for climate”, students the world over have decided to become activists rather than wait in vain for the older generation to do something.
Most recently, on September 20, Dublin saw a school climate strike in which thousands of people showed up to make the government listen and to recognise that things needed to change and that young people were going to make sure they did. Photographer Babs Daly was on hand to capture events.
