THE TRAINER Q/A
I travel a lot for work, so find it hard to regularly exercise. What can I do without equipment?
(A) When I’m travelling, I like simple exercises I can do in a few minutes. One of my favourite routines combines the following back-to-back to raise my heart rate: 15 press-ups, 30 seated tricep dips, 20 jackknifes (like sit-ups with arms and legs outstretched, touching fingers to toes as you lift), and 30 back extensors (lying flat, stretched out on your front, raising arms and legs from floor). These can be repeated for a longer workout. Barrecore.co.uk and YouTube online-classes are great for quick, prop-less workouts.
