We’ve all been there: committing to a new-year health kick only for the wheels to come off a few weeks down the line. In fact, according to research by the fitness and nutrition tracking app MyFitnessPal, more than a quarter of Britons make wellness resolutions every January, with a whopping 31% of them admitting they’ve given up on their goals by the end of the month, due to intense food cravings, January blues or simply losing motivation.

✔ GOAL GETTERS
Setting yourself goals may seem simple enough, but as these are the starting blocks for any real change, making sure they’re the right ones will really affect your results. In our keenness to make big moves at the start of the year, we can often find ourselves enforcing avoidance-based goals, where you cut things out, as opposed to “approach” goals, where you add something to your routine. For example, instead of giving up eating chocolate so you don’t put on weight, try eating more consciously to boost your energy levels.
