DSLR camera users can manually choose a slow shutter speed to add creative motion blur effects to a shot, such as making light trails streak across the frame from a passing car, or adding ephemeral paint-like strokes to flowing water. The iPhone’s Camera app sets the shutter speed automatically, so it’s difficult to deliberately capture creative motion blur effects. However, there are some tricks and techniques you can use to produce eyecatching long-exposure effects, such as dialling in a longer exposure in the Camera app’s Night mode or using a Live Photo’s Long Exposure setting in the Photos app.
