There are many different tools that you can use to create a bootable USB drive, and many distros such as Ubuntu and Fedora bundle one in their default installation.
Using a specialised one such as Ventoy offers several advantages. For starters, in addition to USBs you can also use Ventoy with a SD card or even SSDs. You can also configure persistent mode on your Ventoy device, to make changes made inside a Live session to persist even after a reboot. Ventoy can also run unattended installations for several distros, such as Debian, Fedora and Ubuntu Server.
