DEALING WITH THE DEATH of someone close is never easy. It’s even harder when you share finances with them and/or need access to their social media to manage their memorial page.
On the face of it, the answer seems simple: just write down all your passwords and give them to a loved one in case something happens to you. However, it’s not always that easy. As you add new accounts and change passwords, paper lists can quickly become outdated.

In this guide, you’ll learn some more universal methods for passing on your credentials if something happens to you. You’ll discover some best practices for writing down passwords, and learn which password managers support adding trusted contacts, as well as ways to do this yourself by using Google’s Inactive Account Manager.
