New additions to Dapol’s range of ‘O’ gauge freight stock will be a 14T slope-sided mineral wagon and 22/24T iron ore hopper. Both wagon types were constructed in huge numbers by a range of private builders from the 1930s onwards and used on a variety of mineral traffic. Each also sported a colourful array of private owner liveries prior to nationalisation and lasted in use well in to the 1960s.
