CONSTITUENTS in Sleat are being urged to show support for their community council.
Online voting for the Scottish Rural Parliament awards is now open and Kate Forbes, MSP for Skye, Lochaber and Badenoch wants people from the area to vote for Sleat Community Council (SCC). SCC, which has lobbied the Scottish Government for a reliable service on the troubled Armadale to Mallaig ferry route, is one of three nominees for the rural innovators award in the community council section.
Voting closes on Sunday (September 18), and the winners will be presented their award when the Scottish Rural Parliament meets in Angus on October 6.
