We’ve kept most of the projects simple for this issue while we are all recovering from Christmas! The Black and White Table Runner is elegant in its simplicity and Winter Woollies is a quick pieced throw with appliqué to keep warm under during the winter months. The end of the year always seems to be a time when babies are announced and the cute Jungle Quilt is a quick quilt to make for those surprise announcements!
If you want to tackle something a bit more complex, the Hewson Medallion Quilt, is a wonderful quilt to make, while the Recycled Denim Bag is an excellent project for reusing those old worn jeans!
Features include the story of the commemorative World War 1 quilt by South West Quilters in We Will Remember. We meet Kathleen Matthews and find out more about her love of landscapes and the story behind those inspiring awarding winning quilts. Kath Garner advises us how to take care of those very special quilts in her Care of Heirloom Quilts and we visit Totally Patched to hear about the work of their prolific students.

Nice ideas but geared more towards the beginner. I like it because my daughter can help. Reviewed 16 February 2020
