Maybe I say this every month, but November is definitely my favourite month of the year. It’s not just because it’s my birthday (though how can you fail to enjoy a month that is guaranteed to include cake?), but also because autumn is in full flow, and there’s just enough Christmas in the air that I start to get really excited!
I know Christmas seems to start earlier every year, but for me, now is the perfect time to start thinking about the festive season. Our countdown to Christmas begins here; head to page 38 where we’ll help you get prepared. Advent calendars, shopping lists, hampers and some early gift ideas; we want to make sure that you are as ready as possible.
Of course, November is more than just the month that precedes December. It’s a great time for really delicious food; I don’t suppose I’m alone in seeking out recipes for comfort food that will warm me up and top me up with joy. We’ve got some of the best meals that will do just that: think Mac ‘n’ Cheese, Sausage and Mash and ‘Chicken’ Noodle Soup.
We’re also sharing some one-pot wonders and freezable meal ideas; perfect if you want to save time in the kitchen and spend it where you belong, under a blanket!
