My father owned a lot of cartoons, and there in his library I found my treasure: a cartoon featuring the Tour de France produced by Yves Duval, one of the makers of Tintin.By creating this cartoon he shaped my own fascination for the history of the race. The cartoon came out in 1973 and thus describes the 70 years of the Tour until then, and I vouch that I was, at the age of nine, a professor in the history of the race, just by reading this book over and over again.
