Scramble Magazine  |  504 - May 2021
Again Scramble Magazine provides you with all the aircraft news there is from last month, by and for aviation enthusiasts. Sections like news on specific civil and military aircraft are provided in addition to aircraft movements from airfields in and around the Netherlands.
Although travelling to other locations s still rather restricted we believe also this month provides interesting information for civilian and military oriented people.
So with the exception of the tripyease and showreports, for obvious reasons by now, in addition to the regular information we are fortunate to provide an interesting article by two of our long standing readers about the recovery of Short Sterling BK716 that was sadly lost in the Netherlands while on a mission during WWII.
Did you always thought you understood the Canadian Serial designation system? Have a look at the article by Wim Sonneveld for the details you didn’t know!
For the US oriented we take a deep dive in the details of the Operational Support Airlift Agency, showing details not found anywhere. Also, the full history of Key West based VFC-111 Sundowners is presented, including an overview of all aircraft used by the unit.
