Double Trouble
WHEN IT HIT THE small screen in 1996, Doctor Who: The TV Movie provided Jody Houser with her first introduction to the Time Lord. Now 25 years later, the Los Angeles-based scribe is teaming up the Eighth Doctor with the Eleventh in Empire Of The Wolf.
“I was aware of friends in school who watched this fun British sci-fi show on PBS, so when the TV movie aired on Fox, I tuned in to watch,” she recalls. “I wasn’t sure how I felt about the movie as a whole, but I really loved the character of the Doctor and his perspective on things. So, getting to write him now feels like a wonderful nod to the Doctor who set me on this journey.”
