Step 1 To change colour between stitches, work up to the final yrh of the last stitch in colour A, where the next stitch is colour B. For example, with a half treble: yrh, insert hook in next st, yrh and pull up a loop, stop. Twist together colours A and B (this stops a hole forming in the fabric).
Step 2 Yrh in B and pull through all the loops on the hook to finish the st. You’ll have a working loop of B ready to work the next B stitch. Place the unused yarn at the wrong side (WS) of the fabric (or on a right side (RS) row – this is at the back (not shown)). Ensure the tension of the carried strands is even (neither loose nor tight).
