The Searcher  |  November 2023
What’s new in this issue?
Exclusively on the cover this month is the Hoogwoud Hoard discovered by Lorenzo Ruijter. Whilst it wasn’t unearthed in the UK I thought readers may be interested in both the find and the history behind it. Another exclusive, uncovered nearer home in Wales and by a relatively newcomer to the hobby John Evans, are two Bronze Age gold torcs or bracelets. Daniel Spencer reports on the biggest rally this year, Detectival and we also have Part 2 of Adrian Marsden’s series on 17th Century tokens. Ted Fletcher shares some hints on finding a Roman sestertius and Daniel Spencer field tests the Rutus VER-SA. There’s of course much more between the covers of this edition.
