It’s a slow time in the aquarium world over summer, expecially when the aquarium industry has been preparing for two of its biggest events – MACNA in the States and Aqua in the UK. Danilo’s MACNA piece shows us where the worldwide industry is going, with Aqua showing us what our own UK manufacturers and importers will be off ering domestically – more of a window into what we’ll see in our fish shops next year. Annoyingly for me, our publication schedule is such that we can’t get a piece in about Aqua until Issue 43, we go to print that week – grrr!

On an unrelated matter, I’ve also noticed a trend with UM recently, a trend towards the angels. Have you noticed just how many covers, including this one, feature an angel, dwarf or not? Its an odd one... we choose covers based on what images we have and what we like, and without meaning to and without any intended bias we’ve been a bit angel friendly over the past few issues. So enough of that! Perhaps I just take better photos of angels than other subjects?
