He said so himself. He also stirred the crowds with heroic home runs and occasionally stirred up a hornet’s nest with colorful comments and brash behavior. He left opponents grasping at straws. Pitchers drew straws to see who had to face him (no, not really). If you took a straw poll to determine history’s greatest postseason performers, he would knock it out of the park (yes, really).
