Treating endometriosis can be a challenge. There aren’t many treatment options available and the few that do exist rely on pharmaceutical medications that alter hormones or surgery. In my own personal battle with endometriosis, I’ve tried all the above. Unfortunately, the hormonal treatments had side effects that I couldn’t tolerate, and while my two surgeries were very helpful in removing the disease, it always grew back within two to three years. Aside from continuing to have more surgeries or try risky medications, I wasn’t sure what to do next.
