What Motorhome magazine Best Motorhomes of 2019 - July 2019 Back Issue

This is a rather special issue, in which we name our favourite new campervans and motorhomes of 2019 – and what a varied selection they are. From a great-value VW T6 campervan from Hillside to the WildAx Elara, based on the superb new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, we have all types of van conversion covered, including the Elddis Autoquest CV20 which might have just scraped our overall winner title if we were prepared to compare apples with oranges.
Or would it be the Carthago Liner-for-two which would definitely be my choice for that dream six-month tour of Europe? That’s one of three A-classes in our selection, ranging from under £60k to nearly £150k and from under six metres long to nearly eight.
We’ve not ignored the motorhome heartland of mid-priced coachbuilts, though, where Benimar and Swift take the under-£50k categories and Chausson and Dethleffs are victorious when budgets are streched a little further. And there are vehicles for families, too – a market I always enjoy studying as my kids love motorhomes as much as I do. It’s another Benimar that takes family coachbuilt honours but even more impressive, perhaps, is how Dreamer has fitted accommodation for four into the confines of a standard Fiat Ducato panel van. Which is your favourite?
