Deck the halls

With these unique hand-crafted decoration ideas, your tree will be the festive focal point of any room

Ribbon-wrapped baubles

These pretty hanging decorations can easily be made to match any colour scheme

Begin by securing one end of a length of ribbon to a polystyrene ball (£2.70 per pack of 36, Baker Ross) with a hot glue gun. Wrap the ribbon around the ball, securing every few centimetres with further dots of glue. Once completely covered, fix the top of the ribbon in place then trim it, leaving a 20cm tail. Fold the tail into a loop, tuck the end under, and glue into position to secure. Finally, tie a bow of thin decorative ribbon around the hanging loop.
