The runways are heralding a whole garden of petal details for summer, with everyone from Temperley to Dolce & Gabbana showcasing their take on floral. And as the country comes into bloom, there couldn’t be a better time to embrace being British. Why? Because this summer, New Covent Garden Market is celebrating its second annual British Flowers Week (17-21 June). If you’ve not had a chance to visit the market before, it’s a breathtaking sight of colour and scent and a great place to get inspiration for your big-day blooms. You can discover more about why brides and florists have fallen in love with British-grown flowers and foliage on page 12. another hothouse for fresh ideas is your local wedding show. as I write, we’re quite literally in the depths of show season and I had the pleasure of meeting many of you at the spring national Wedding Shows. I spent much of my time at the Designer Flower Market, chatting to the experts about the trends in order to pass that creativity on to you. If you missed the London, Birmingham or Manchester shows, be sure to bag your tickets for the autumn! Enjoy the issue...
