THE KIA PICANTO has always been a straightforward, no-fuss small car, if never one that stands out from a crowd. But that’s about to change. Gone is the butterwouldn’t-melt face of old, replaced by one that’s far more aggressive, while a new light bar links a reshaped pair of rear lights at the other end, for a high-tech look.
Aesthetics aside, the updated Picanto also gets a new line-up of 1.0-litre three-cylinder and 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engines. As with the current car, all versions are available with a five-speed manual gearbox or a fivespeed automatic.
