As a young adult I ran a bit but not a lot. I dabbled, but I didn’t really like it. To be honest, I used to prefer swimming and mountain biking, so I never really stuck at the running.
However, five or six years ago I was in a very difficult relationship which was coming to an end. My anxiety was massive and my self-confidence had drained away. I divorced my husband and moved house, and found that as single mum of my three-year-old son, I desperately needed some headspace.
