Q In the novel I’m currently writing, a man is shot in his study with a crossbow bolt. The bolt can clearly be seen by others when they enter the room as it is protruding from his chest, with a bloodstain around it. A discarded crossbow is found in the same room. When the police arrive and look more closely at the body, this is what they find also.
