Stuck for content ideas? Fear not, with advice from author Rachel Brimble, the solution is at your fingertips
In today’s manic and busy world of social media obsession, there is an innate hunger for immediate information, answers and entertainment. As writers, how do we ensure we have an endless stream of content ideas? Not just for social media platforms, but for blogs, magazine articles and features.
This was something I’d always struggled with… until recently. Then I discovered a sure-fire way that guarantees I never run out of engaging, useful subjects to share across all media avenues… and it is so simple. Each of us has subjects we talk about all the time.
In fact, we might talk about them so openly and easily that we don’t even realise we possess a specialist subject. Maybe you work with animals, jewellery, mechanics, beauty products, farming… these are your ‘business’ areas of expertise. But what about your personal life? Hobbies? Interests? Passions? Maybe you’re a stay at home parent, an avid painter, a cyclist, a dog owner…
Stepping back and taking a moment to list everything that touches your life throughout the week, month and year, will provide you with subjects of interest and, more importantly, vitally useful advice and wisdom that readers would love to know.
