Make sure your Christmas is plain-sailing with these get ahead tips…
✓ If you plan on ordering your shopping online for Christmas then make sure you book a slot as far in advance as you can so you get a time that’s convenient for you. You can always add to your list a bit at a time in the run up to delivery day.
✓ Check out your party clothes to make sure they are in good condition and don’t need zips fixing or buttons sewing. Make sure there are no marks or stains, and take them to the dry cleaners in advance if there are.
✓ Christmas card list looking over-whelming? Start in advance and just do 10 each evening in front of the TV. You’ll get them done in no time at all and it won’t seem like such a mammoth task.
✓ Defrost your freezer and get it stocked up, not just for the big day but with everyday meals for the days you are likely to be darting around to school plays, carol services and dropping off presents at friends’ houses.
