NEW FILM: TWIGGY LOOKS BACK AT GROWING UP IN THE NINETEEN SIXTIES
When film-makers were looking for stars to feature in a fascinating documentary about the Swinging Sixties there was one name that definitely had to be on the list – Cockney lass Twiggy. “Well, they couldn’t really do a film about the 1960s without me, could they?” she laughs. “Funnily enough, half of my fan letters today are from teenagers obsessed with the 1960s.” Fellow Cockney icon Michael Caine narrates the film documentary, My Generation, chatting with other stars from the era including Twiggy, Paul McCartney, Roger Daltrey, David Bailey, Sandie Shaw, Mary Quant and Marianne Faithfull, all blended with unseen archive material to take us back to the heart of the Sixties.
