That’s a nice question that would need more pages to be exhaustive, but let’s take a look at the main steps of the production of 3D environments. The very first step is the analysis of the concepts and references of the scene, where you can visualise the 3D environment before going to the software. After that, I usually do some simple sketches to figure out the main shapes for the environment.
