WestJet has added two new Canadian routes from Edinburgh. From May 2024, the carrier will commence a daily service to the Scottish capital from Toronto, followed by a thrice weekly service from Halifax starting in June. They will join the airline’s existing four weekly flights from Calgary. Daniel Fajardo, VP of network and schedule planning, said: “We’re confident this enhanced connectivity between Edinburgh and three major Canadian hubs will further strengthen the twoway business and tourism pipeline between Canada and Scotland.”
TAAG Angola Airlines has selected the General Electric GEnx engine to power its four Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The carrier will receive nine powerplants – four for the pair of -9s and four for the two -10s, plus a spare. The deal also includes an engine service agreement for its GE90-powered Boeing 777-300ERs.
