A partnership agreement has been inked between Air France and independent aviation training provider BAA Training, which will see the latter provide the flag carrier with Airbus A320 type rating services.
Consequently, as part of the move, BAA Training – afamily member of Avia Solutions Group – is to “prepare” more than 170 pilots who are type rated on the popular European-built narrowbody aircraft (pictured).
In turn, training is to involve both full-flight simulators (FFS) and flight training devices (FTDs) – as well as innovative developments such as virtual reality technology – which will take place at BAA Training’s facilities in Vilnius in Lithuania and Barcelona, Spain. The maiden pilot group is scheduled to begin its training from this September.
