AMETEK MRO inks Honeywell agreement
Honeywell has appointed AMETEK MRO Singapore as an authorised repair centre (ARC) for select components fitted to GE CF6-80, Pratt & Whitney PW2000 and PW4000, IAE V2500 and Rolls-Royce Trent 700, 800 and 900 engines. The licensing deal is designed to allow both companies to further penetrate OEM markets in Asia, using facilities in Singapore and the United States.
David Corish, AMETEK Singapore divisional vice president and general manager said: “This agreement expands our long-standing relationship with Honeywell and strengthens our presence in the market by allowing us to better support our OEMcentric customers. The provision of comprehensive maintenance solutions, particularly in regions such as Asia-Pacific where European- and US-based MROs continue to seek a collaborative approach to provide viable repair options from a logistics point of view, is a cornerstone of AMETEK MRO’s business.”
AMETEK MRO is no stranger to the sector, having provided maintenance, repair and overhaul services on the components for 14 years.
Andrew Wong, Honeywell Aerospace’s vice president airlines for the Asia-Pacific, added: “With borders re-opening and international travel on the rise, we are committed to support our customers in ensuring their aircraft are service-ready to safely meet growing passenger demands. As we continue to develop our MRO capabilities and partner ecosystem, [this] partnership will expand our reach in the region and provide our customers with dedicated OEM services and support at strategic aviation hubs, further reinforcing their trust in Honeywell as a trusted service partner.”
