The Moon, NASA’s target for its Artemis program, shines as a tantalising destination in this photo taken from the International Space Station. This shot was captured by a member of the station’s current Expedition 66 crew – which comprises of NASA astronauts Raja Chari, Thomas Marshburn, Kayla Barron and Mark Vande Hei; the European Space Agency’s Matthias Maurer; Roscosmos’ Anton Shkaplerov and Pyotr Dubrov – shows a waning gibbous Moon phase as the Moon shines above a brilliant Earth. The station was flying about 437 kilometres (272 miles) above the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of southern Argentina when this shot was captured.
