THE SCOTTISH Fire and Rescue Service Chief Officer Alasdair Hay visited the crew in Lochgilphead last week.
The CO was given a guided tour of the station by watch manager Duncan Litster who discussed the level of local community engagement carried out by his crew.
CO Hay was delivering his vision for the future for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and how that will benefit local retained firefighters and the communities they serve. He said: ‘It was a real pleasure and a privilege to hear about all the work that they do to protect their local community. They are a credit to themselves, their families and to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
